![]() To transcend the generational and cultural differences spanning nine decades from 1933 to the present by bringing together our graduates, teachers, administrators and friends for reunions and special events. To recapture the spirit and memories of Weequahic High School that was so meaningful to many of us. This year, students received $1,010.Īpply for 2023! Deadline is Nov.It was not from our differences, but from the traditions that we have in common, that gave birth to the Weequahic High School Alumni Association in 1997 – a unique opportunity to bring people together - people who seemed so far apart yet who have shared something significant and precious: their lives were shaped in their Weequahic years. The BU Alumni Association Board of Directors awards Alumni Legacy Scholarships each year to current BU students who are a child/grandchild of a BU graduate. Alumni will be chosen via random drawing each November and the scholarship is applied to the student's spring tuition. "Remaining part of the pack" is not just a slogan, it is what we do as alumni. We believe opportunity belongs to those who are ready to work for it and unafraid to do something great with it. I invite you to join with the Alumni Board and hundreds of other alumni to help write this chapter. The next chapter of our University and its legacy is a responsibility we all share. Each one of you is needed to achieve our noble purpose through mentoring, volunteering, philanthropy, networking, and much more. The current Alumni Association Board comprises a diverse set of leaders who share a common bond for the school, the surrounding community and each individual touched by a Husky. Now is the time to give back and help cultivate the next generation of leaders who will matriculate to become Bloomsburg alumni like us. Bloomsburg instilled in us important lessons and values that have served us well. The world needs leaders from all walks of life, locations and experiences. Now is the time to write a new chapter for the University and create a legacy for the next generation of alumni. And recently, we began an integration with two other PASSHE schools. Together we endured a global health crisis, protested against racial injustice, helped communities devastated by natural disasters and much more. The past few years have been really challenging for members of our Bloomsburg family.
